These edwardian open drawers with camisole was inspired by late Victorian designs. This style of underwear appeared and became very popular at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. Combined lingerie consists of a camisa and pantaloons sewn at the waist with separate legs. Fashion historians acknowledge that the lingerie of this period is the most beautiful and varied in the history of 19th century underwear. They were decorated with all kinds of embroidery, lace and ribbons. The combination is essential underwear if you wear clothing in The Belle Epoque style. It is an indispensable part of a lady's wardrobe. The combinations is made of cotton batiste and decorated with cotton lace with ribbons. It fastens in front with small shirt buttons and has a satin ribbon drawstring at the waist. This pattern has a split-crotch opening , which means that the drawers are completely open at the crotch seam from the center front waistband until about 4" below the back waistband. The legs of the pantaloons are wide enough to add volume to the petticoats and not increase the volume at the waist and upper thighs. The combination is very comfortable to wear. This batiste combinations is perfect as lingerie for a late Victorian historical reenactment, a photo shoot, a themed party or as a pretty sleepwear. This gentle, light underwear is designed to be worn under a corset, a dress or another suit.
